The Walk-In Counselling Clinic provides drop-in support for immediate issues and runs on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • All of our counselling is confidential.  No information will be released without your written consent EXCEPT in the following situations:

    • Cases of suspected child abuse, which will be reported to a Children’s Aid Society;

    • Cases of alleged, suspected, or witnessed incidents of abuse of adults with developmental disabilities;

    • Reasonable belief that informing is necessary to prevent a risk of death or serious injury;

    • A subpoena or summons that is served by the Court;

    • A medical emergency.

Couples Counselling
  • For couples counselling appointments, please contact our intake department to be scheduled with a counsellor who has specialized training in relationship counselling.  Counselling subsidies can apply.

Wait Times
  • We strive to keep our waiting times to a minimum.  Consequently, walk-in counselling is provided by a team of experienced counsellors and Master’s degree interns who provide counselling under supervision.  All of our walk-in counsellors provide professional services in a safe, supportive and strength-based way.

Fees
  • Each counselling session costs $100.00.

  • Subsidies are available to those who have an income which makes the cost of $100 prohibitive to attending.  Income verification must be provided in order to qualify for the subsidized fee.

  • Subsidies are based on total household income (including child tax and child support) and the number of people that this income supports.

  • Fees are set at your first visit.  If your income has changed since your first visit, please indicate on your forms so that we can adjust your fee.

What happens next?
  • People are welcome to use the Walk-In Clinic on an as-needed basis.

  • Please be aware that the Walk-In Clinic is intended for short-term, solution-focused counselling.

  • If our services are not appropriate to meet your needs, counsellors at the Walk-In Clinic will speak with you regarding other options.
