Person Directed Planner


Full Time – Contract Position


August 31, 2010 – March 31, 2011


 


The Person Directed Planner is responsible for assisting persons with developmental disabilities in preparing Life Plans.  Planning will include the identification of life goals, required supports and the steps needed for their achievement.


Responsibilities:


  • To research and develop or adapt planning resources to guide the process of person directed planning
  • To explore available options and resources to implement the plan
  • To identify challenges and opportunities associated with the plan
  • By building community relationships identify information on opportunities that are available
  • To create a written and visual record of the plan
  • To develop benchmarks for evaluation of the plan

Qualifications:


  • BSW or relevant post secondary university degree
  • Experience in the developmental services sector
  • Experience in client centred planning
  • Inclusive interviewing skills an asset
  • Experience or training in case management
  • Knowledge of community and community resources
  • Car and valid driver’s license
  • French language an asset 

Salary Range;


2010-2011 Full-time Salary Range:  $41,226 – $43,858

PROJECT COORDINATOR


COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROJECT


Part time (.5 FTE) – 1 Year Contract


The Project Coordinator is responsible for developing a membership base of organizations through outreach and sales.  The Project Coordinator will grow the Cooperative through identifying, engaging and recruiting appropriate vendor businesses and services, engaging volunteers and supporting the standing Ad Hoc Advisory Committee , working effectively in partnerships, successfully executing the programs and projects currently underway and working with the Executive Director and Advisory Committee to develop new initiatives.


Responsibilities:


 


  • Design and develop all policies, procedures, processes and supporting documentation for the development of the Cooperative
  • Implement all aspects of the business and operational plans of the Cooperative
  • Develop promotional materials, including the expansion of CFS website, presentation packages and session information content
  • Develop a membership growth strategy
  • Conduct research and develop a potential vendor inventory
  • Oversee the day to day operations of the Cooperative

 


Qualifications


 


  • University degree required: degree in business or relevant experience preferred
  • Graduate degree, preferably in business, an asset
  • Business/Management experience including financial training, negotiation or equivalent experience
  • Experience in community consultation and community relations required
  • In-Depth knowledge of both Hamilton non-profit and business communities
  • Proficiency in French language is an asset

 


Salary Range:


 


2010 – 2011 Full time salary range:    Bachelors Level $41,226 – $43,858


                                                            Masters Level    $48,199 – $51,275

Early Learning and Care Staff


Regular Tuesday and Wednesday shifts


Plus additional days/evenings and weekends as needed


 


The Early Learning and Care Staff is responsible for interaction, care, program implementation and supervision of infants and children in the Early Learning and Care Programs of Catholic Family Services.


Service Responsibilities


 


  • Implement quality standards of early learning and care
  • Ensure the health, safety and physical well-being of the children
  • Promote and role model positive parenting attitudes, skills and behaviours

 Qualifications


 


  • E.C.E. or related diploma and current Early Learning training or experience
  • Experience and knowledge of child development with children 0 – 11 years of age
  • Exceptional age-appropriate behaviour management and interaction techniques
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as a team member and independently
  • CPR and First Aid preferred
  • Successful completion of Police Clearance
  • CPI Training (Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention) an asset
  • Proficiency in French language an asset

 


Salary Range 


2010 – 2011 hourly rate:  $16.50 – $17.51 per hour

FULL TIME POSITION


 


The Community Program Coordinator is responsible for the delivery, planning and coordination of the community programs at Catholic Family Services – St. Martin’s Manor.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the effective delivery of community programs offered at Catholic Family Services / St. Martin’s Manor to pregnant and parenting young women
  • Facilitate interagency communication, identify and plan for services associated with pregnant and parenting youth
  • Provide one to one case management, counselling and support to the clients of the Community Programs
  • Liaise with community partners to promote Catholic Family Services / St. Martin’s Manor programs

 


Qualifications


  • B.S.W.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community resources and services
  • 3 – 5 year experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to supply own vehicle
  • Proficiency in French language an asset

 


Salary Range:


2010 – 2011 Full time salary range:  $41,226 – $43,858 plus benefits
