Mission
Catholic Family Services of Hamilton (CFS), guided by Catholic values and principles, exists so that the quality of life of ALL individuals and families* in our diverse community may be improved and strengthened. Services are delivered regardless of faith, race, ethnicity, economic status, sexual orientation, gender, age, physical and/or intellectual ability.
* Families include all forms of and definitions of family, both traditional and non-traditional.
Guiding Principles
Catholic Family Services’ employees, volunteers and Board of Directors are guided in delivery of service by the following principles:
- the dignity of ALL people and their equality as children of God
- ALL people as full citizens of society
- sanctity of human life from conception to natural death
- self-determination
- sacredness of marriage
- family as the central role in society
- learning that supports each individual to reach their full potential
- the need for service to those most in need in our community
- service delivery regardless of financial ability to pay
